CD and DVD

DVD contains:

DVD film footage showing some of the major metal, plastic and wood processes. These include: pressure die casting / laser cutting / clipping / fettling / engraving / spot welding / bending / forming / threading / spark erosion / injection moulding / moulds and patterns / sand casting / punching / blanking / milling / woodturning / vacuum forming

Each clip lasts approximately 2/3 minutes with voice-over

Shows raw material / process / finished product / process evidence

Also provided is a Manufacturing Processes interactive CD helping the student to identify which Metal or Plastics process was used to manufacture the item under scrutiny:

This software allows the student to identify the process which produced the product/component they have in front of them by answering questions and looking at a 3D model on screen. Each question answered gives a 'percentage' match for the likelihood of the manufacturing process that was used.
